HEAR FROM DCS STUDENT-ADVISORS, NIKKI TORA AND TABITHA WEBSTER

MEET TABITHA & NIKKI!

When Delaware College Scholars (DCS) Program Director Chris Sanchez, a faculty member at St. Andrew's School (SAS), presented the SAS Class of 2023 with the opportunity to serve as a Student-Advisors for DCS’ summer residential program, roommates Nikki Tora and Tabitha Webster felt compelled to join.

Tabitha noted, “There’s no reason I should be doing anything else, there’s nothing that is going to have more of an impact on other people than this job… So, I wanted to pick the most meaningful thing, and this job was that.”

Reflecting on her own college process, Nikki added, “Just being able to help… I know how stressful the college process is and I know how much I valued the guidance that I received. So, just being able to be in the same position to give back to what was given to me was something that really intrigued me and something that I really wanted to be a part of.”

Upon graduating from SAS in the spring of 2023, Nikki and Tabitha traveled the two hours south to Delaware State University to serve as Student-Advisors for DCS. They immersed themselves into the DCS program for three weeks, teaching college preparatory classes, facilitating essay workshops, assisting students with homework assignments, and serving as mentors. On the latest DCS podcast episodes, both Nikki and Tabitha discuss their decisions to attend St. Andrew’s, their growth while living on Noxontown Pond, and what they are most proud of.
