MEET KAMARIA!
We just wanted to give a quick shoutout to one of our newest team members, Kamaria Griffin!
Kamaria, a Cohort 1 scholar (yes, the original Cohort!!), joined DCS in the Summer of 2023 and has continued working for the program as our High School Persistence Officer. Reflecting on her work, Kamaria notes, “I love advising the DCS students. I was in their shoes not too long ago and have been there before, so I can relate to them and help guide them.” When she is not visiting students at various schools throughout the State, you can find Kamaria at the Hicks Anderson Community Center where she oversees the garden and teaches children the benefits of growing food within your community.
