June 2019 has featured the start of the sixth cohort, the graduation of our fourth group of scholars, and other exciting events.
On June 16, Delaware College Scholars (“DCS”) parents, faculty, supporters and Dr. Susan Bunting, Delaware Secretary of Education, gathered to celebrate as 36 rising college freshmen graduated from DCS.
Thanks to a new partnership with Delaware State University, we are able to expand our program, accept more students, and allow our scholars to earn college credits!
DCS is proud to announce it has selected its newest cohort (class) to join Delaware College Scholars! Like the five cohorts before it, Cohort 6 will begin their seven-year journey of the college selection and persistence process this June.
On April 7, Dr. Tony Alleyne accepted the 2019 Early Career Award from Columbia University’s Teacher’s College.
